Stateroom Scout sends alerts about Disney Cruise stateroom availability and prices. We collect as little as we can to do that, and no accounts.
What we store
- A fingerprint of your license key (a one-way hash), so we know which alerts are yours. We never store the key itself.
- Your sailing and the number of guests in your stateroom.
- Your ntfy topic, so we know where to send alerts.
- The staterooms you're watching and, if you set up a price watch, the category you booked, the price you paid and any discount percentage.
- A record of the alerts we've sent, so we don't send the same one twice.
We don't ask for your name, email address, Disney login or reservation number. This is stored with our database provider, Supabase. A few days after your sailing departs, your watched rooms, price details and alert history are deleted. We keep the license fingerprint (so a used key can't be applied to another trip) and your ntfy topic.
What stays in your browser
The My Alerts page remembers your license key in your browser's local storage so you don't have to type it each visit. "Forget my license on this device" removes it.
Who else is involved
- Gumroad processes Room Pass purchases and collects your email to deliver your license key. Each time you use the My Alerts page, we ask Gumroad whether your key is valid. We don't receive your payment details.
- ntfy.sh delivers your notifications, using the topic you chose. Anyone who knows a topic can read its messages, so keep yours hard to guess.
Analytics and tracking
This website has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies and no third-party scripts.
Children's privacy
Stateroom Scout is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
